Australian actress, writer, and producer Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson (originally named Melanie Elizabeth Bownds; born 2 March 1980) completed her studies at the Australian Theatre for Young People in 2003. She subsequently took on the role of Toula in the comedy series Pizza aired on Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), as well as participating in the sketch show The Wedge. In 2008, Wilson created, produced, and acted in the musical comedy Bogan Pride. The next year brought her a best actress accolade at Tropfest for her performance in Bargain and a guest role on City Homicide. After relocating to the United States, she was selected to portray Brynn in the film Bridesmaids.
