Samantha Zoe Womack (née Janus; born 2 November 1972) is a British actress, singer, and director in film, television, and stage. She is best known for playing Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders from 2007 to 2011 and from 2013 until the character was killed off in early 2017. She first gained recognition in the mid-1990s as Mandy Wilkins in Game On. Womack has been awarded and nominated for numerous awards for her role as Ronnie Mitchell.
She also played Tanya Porter in the Sky One comedy-drama Mount Pleasant from 2013 to 2017 and has toured the UK playing Morticia in the stage musical The Addams Family. Initially planning a singing career, she represented the United Kingdom in the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest and released the single "A Message to Your Heart," which reached No. 30 in the UK Singles Chart. She began her acting career in 1990 with a role in Jekyll and Hyde before Eurovision.
