Canadian actress Sarah Gadon (born April 4, 1987) is known for her work in film and television. She started her professional journey with guest roles on various TV series, including Are You Afraid of the Dark? (1999), Mutant X (2002), and Dark Oracle (2004). Additionally, she has lent her voice to multiple animated projects. Gadon became notable for her performances in films directed by David Cronenberg such as A Dangerous Method (2011), Cosmopolis (2012), and Maps to the Stars (2014). Her credits also include starring roles in Denis Villeneuve's thriller Enemy (2013), the historical drama Belle (2013), and the action horror feature Dracula Untold (2014).

In 2015, Gadon appeared alongside others in the supernatural thriller The 9th Life of Louis Drax and took on the role of a young Elizabeth II in A Royal Night Out. The subsequent year saw her portray Sadie Dunhill in Hulu's miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's 11/22/63 titled 11.22.63. In 2017, she portrayed Grace Marks in CBC’s Alias Grace, based on Margaret Atwood's novel, and joined Crave’s sitcom Letterkenny during its third season. The following year featured her as a lead character in The Great Darkened Days. In 2019, Gadon participated in the third season of HBO’s anthology series True Detective.

Gadon has achieved several awards throughout her career, securing three Canadian Screen Awards for Alias Grace, Enemy, and The Great Darkened Days among others. In 2016, she was honored with an Award of Excellence from ACTRA—Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists.
