Turkish singer Gülben Ergen (pronounced [Л€Йџylben Л€eЙѕЙЎen]; born August 25, 1972), also referred to as Gülben Ergen Çelik, is an occasional actress and vocalist. She hails from Kadıköy, Istanbul, Turkey, where she has appeared in both film and television productions. One of her best-known performances is as Melek in Dadı, the Turkish adaptation of The Nanny. In 1987, she was awarded the title of Miss Cinema and subsequently embarked on her music career. Over the years, Ergen has released eight popular albums and is recognized as one of Turkey's leading female singers.
