American actress Jada Koren Pinkett-Smith (born Jada Koren Pinkett; September 18, 1971) is also a dancer, singer-songwriter, and entrepreneur. She initiated her professional work in 1990 with a guest role in the brief sitcom True Colors. She performed as part of A Different World, which was produced by Bill Cosby, and appeared alongside Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor (1996). Her filmography includes dramatic works such as Menace II Society (1993) and Set It Off (1996). Over her career, she has taken part in more than 20 films across multiple genres, including Scream 2, Ali, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Madagascar series including Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted.

In 2002, Pinkett Smith ventured into music by co-founding the metal band Wicked Wisdom where she serves as a vocalist and songwriter. Additionally, she established a production company and authored a book released in 2004.
