American actress Jessica Phyllis Lange (/læŋ/; born April 20, 1949) is known for her extensive contributions to film, theater, and television. She has been awarded multiple honors, including two Academy Awards, a Tony Award, three Emmy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, one Screen Actors Guild Award, and three Dorian Awards; in 1998, Entertainment Weekly recognized Lange as one of the 25 Greatest Actresses of the '90s. In 2016, she became the twenty-second individual to attain the Triple Crown of Acting.

Lange was noticed by producer Dino De Laurentiis while working part-time as a model with the Wilhelmina agency. Her cinematic debut occurred in his 1976 version of King Kong—a remake of the classic action-adventure film from 1933—where she earned her first Golden Globe Award for New Star of the Year. In 1982, she made history as the first actor in four decades to receive two Oscar nominations in a single year; she claimed her second Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for portraying a soap opera star in Tootsie while also being nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars for her role as Frances Farmer in Frances. After receiving three additional nominations over time, Lange secured her sixth Oscar nomination and won both her third Golden Globe and an Academy Award for Best Actress due to her role as a manic depressive housewife in Blue Sky (1994). In 1995, Lange became only the second actress ever to win both Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress Oscars after Meryl Streep; this record remained unbroken until Cate Blanchett achieved it in 2014.

In 2010, she was awarded her initial Primetime Emmy Award following her portrayal of Big Edie—the famous aunt of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis—in HBO's Grey Gardens (2009). From 2011 through 2013, Lange received her first Screen Actors Guild Award along with a fifth Golden Globe award and two more Emmy Awards thanks to performances during FX's horror anthology series American Horror Story (2011–2015), specifically its first and third seasons.
