American singer, songwriter, and actress Joanna NoГ«lle Blagden "JoJo" Levesque (born December 20, 1990) hails from Foxborough, Massachusetts. As a child, she participated in various singing contests and gained attention after her appearance on the TV program America's Most Talented Kids in 2003. This exposure led to an invitation from record producer Vincent Herbert to audition for Blackground Records. JoJo's self-titled debut album was released in June 2004. Her first single, "Leave (Get Out)," achieved number one on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, making her the youngest solo artist to attain this position in the U.S. at age thirteen. The track reached number twelve on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a gold certification from the RIAA. To date, over four million copies of the album have been sold globally.

Her second studio album, The High Road, debuted in October 2006 with its lead single "Too Little Too Late" being released in August of that year; it climbed to number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This single received platinum status from the RIAA by March 2007 and marked her first such achievement. The album has sold over three million copies worldwide since its release. Additionally, JoJo has independently issued two mixtapes: Can't Take That Away from Me in 2010 and AgГЎpД“ in December 2012; as well as two EPs titled LoveJo (2014) and LoveJo2 (2015), following her signing with Atlantic Records during that same year. On August 21, 2015, she made her official comeback with a triple single extended play named III. In parallel with her music endeavors, JoJo also pursued acting opportunities. She appeared as a guest star on multiple television shows starting with The Bernie Mac Show in 2002 followed by roles in American Dreams (2004) and Romeo! (2006). In that same year, she made her cinematic debut featuring prominently in Aquamarine and RV—two major films within Hollywood—and later starred in Lifetime’s film True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet released in 2008.
