English musician and actress Kate Marie Nash (born 6 July 1987) gained popularity with her UK number-2 single "Foundations" in 2007, followed by the platinum-certified album Made of Bricks, which reached number one in the UK charts. She received the title of Best British Female Artist at the Brit Awards in 2008.

Her sophomore studio album, My Best Friend Is You, debuted in the United Kingdom on 19 April 2010 and was made available in the U.S. on 11 May 2010. This album featured her second most successful charting single, "Do-Wah-Doo".

Nash independently released her third studio project, Girl Talk, on 4 March 2013.
