Polish singer, dancer, and actress Marta Katarzyna Wiktoria Wiśniewska, known professionally as Mandaryna, was born Marta Mandrykiewicz on March 12, 1978, in Łódź, Poland. She gained prominence as a dancer for the Polish pop ensemble Ich Troje and was also in a relationship with its frontman Michał Wiśniewski. In 2004, she launched her music career by releasing a rendition of Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again," which achieved popularity in Poland. Her debut albums, Mandaryna.com and Mandarynkowy sen, came out in 2004 and 2005 respectively and enjoyed commercial success. In 2005, she became embroiled in controversy during her performance at the Sopot Festival due to claims regarding her vocal abilities. Despite this incident, her track "Ev'ry Night" emerged as a significant hit and is often regarded as one of her most recognized songs to date. The song was created by her long-time collaborators Harald Reitinger and Uli Fischer who have contributed to approximately 90% of her musical output.
