English professional footballer Theo James Walcott (born 16 March 1989) serves as a forward for Arsenal in the Premier League and represents the England national team. In 2006, he received the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

Walcott developed his skills at Southampton Academy and began his professional journey with Southampton before transferring to Arsenal for £5 million in 2006. His quick speed and ability to cross the ball prompted manager Arsène Wenger to utilize him primarily as a winger throughout most of his career. During the 2012–13 season, due to a contract disagreement, he was positioned as a striker, but returned to playing on the wing during the 2013–14 season.

On 30 May 2006, Walcott set a record as England's youngest senior football player at just 17 years and 75 days old. He made his first competitive appearance on 6 September 2008 in a World Cup qualifier against Andorra; shortly after, on 10 September against Croatia, he scored his first senior international goals and became the youngest player ever to achieve a hat-trick for England. He has participated in both the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2012, earning a total of 42 caps with eight goals scored.
