British-American actress Mischa Anne Barton (born 24 January 1986) is known for her work in film, television, and theater, as well as occasional modeling. She initiated her acting journey on stage with a performance in Tony Kushner's Slavs! and took the lead role in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams at Lincoln Center in New York City. Her first appearance on screen was a guest spot on the American soap opera All My Children (1996). Following that, she lent her voice to a character in the Nickelodeon animated series KaBlam! (1996–97). Barton's breakthrough film role came with Lawn Dogs (1997), an acclaimed drama alongside Sam Rockwell. She continued to perform in prominent films like the romantic comedy Notting Hill (1999) and M. Night Shyamalan's psychological thriller The Sixth Sense (1999). Barton went on to star in the indie drama Lost and Delirious (2001) and appeared as Evan Rachel Wood's girlfriend on ABC’s Once and Again (2001–02).
