Nigerian-born American track athlete Morolake Akinosun (born May 17, 1994) participated in the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro. She earned a gold medal as part of the team during the 2015 Pan-American Games in Toronto for the 4 x 100-meter relay event. Akinosun is recognized as only the second female athlete to achieve scoring in four events at NCAA Outdoor Championships across consecutive years. She has claimed victory as an NCAA champion in the 4 x 100-meter relay on four occasions. Additionally, Akinosun secured a gold medal at the USA Junior Championships in 2013 for her performance in the 100 meters with a time of 11.64 seconds.
