American professional wrestler Sherri Schrull, born Sherri Russell on February 8, 1958, and passed away on June 15, 2007, is recognized by her ring personas Sherri Martel and Sensational Sherri.

Martel initiated her wrestling career in the Mid South after completing training in Columbia, South Carolina. She became a member of the American Wrestling Association (AWA) during the mid-1980s and secured the AWA World Women's Championship title three times. In the late 1980s, she transitioned to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), where she claimed the WWF Women's Championship. During her time with WWF, Martel also served as a manager for various wrestlers including Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase, and Shawn Michaels. In the 1990s, she made appearances in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Within WCW, Martel managed the tag team Harlem Heat. Following her departure from WCW, she made limited wrestling-related appearances until her passing in 2007.
