American professional basketball player Skylar Kierra Diggins-Smith (born August 2, 1990) competes for the Dallas Wings in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was selected third overall by the Tulsa Shock during the 2013 WNBA draft. During her high school years, she earned accolades as the National Gatorade Player of the Year, Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year, and a McDonald's All-American. At Notre Dame, Diggins served as point guard and guided her team to three consecutive Final Four appearances along with two back-to-back NCAA championship games. Upon concluding her time at Notre Dame, she held records ranking first in points and steals, second in assists, and was a two-time recipient of the Nancy Lieberman Award for being recognized as the top point guard nationally while achieving a team record of 35-2.
