French football referee Stéphanie Frappart (born 14 December 1983) has been part of the FIFA International Referees List since 2009 and has officiated various significant matches. In 2019, she became the first female referee to oversee a major men's European match as well as a French Ligue 1 game. The following year, she made history as the first woman to officiate a UEFA Champions League match. Additionally, in 2021, Frappart was appointed as the first female official for a men's World Cup Qualifying event. By 2022, she was among three women selected to serve as referees during the men's World Cup.
