Czech model Veronika Vařeková, frequently referred to in English media as Veronica Varekova, is originally from Olomouc, Czech Republic. She relocated to New York City at 19 to pursue studies at the Parsons School of Design. Shortly after her arrival in Manhattan, a close friend encouraged her to connect with Next Models, leading to an immediate signing.

With Next Models representing her, Veronica’s career flourished as she graced the covers of publications such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and the highly sought-after Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Her photographs were captured by renowned photographers like Patrick Demarchelier, Gilles Bensimon, Ellen Von Unsworth, Greg Kadel and Peter Lindbergh. This success resulted in campaigns for brands including Gap, Chanel, Guess, Nivea, Escada, Chopard, Pantene, Ungaro, Patek Philippe,Hublot and Victoria's Secret. Additionally,Vera appeared on several television shows featuring guest roles on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,Jimm yKimmel Live!, CNN ,Charlie Rose ,Fox and Friends among others.

An accomplished model with diverse interests beyond fashion,Vera is passionate about painting and actively participates in various artistic pursuits . She also enjoys outdoor activities ,often found engaging in golf,skiing,and tennis around the globe.In 2004,she married Petr Nedvěd,a Czech Canadian professional ice-hockey player; however,their marriage was brief,and they separated in 2006.

In 2008 ,Veronica successfully summited Mount Kilimanjaro .During this expedition,she encountered the African Wildlife Foundation team in Tanzania which sparked her interest in wildlife conservation.Shifting towards philanthropic work,in October 2009 she was appointed one of the first Goodwill Ambassadors for the African Wildlife Foundation.Here,she contributes to initiatives that promote landscape preservation,endangered species protection,and community empowerment within AWF’s designated areas across Africa.Additionally ,she serves as a patron volunteer at SZPD Orphanage located in Olomouc,a commitment she has maintained for over five years.

While Veronica lives primarily in New York City,she frequently visits Prague to maintain connections with family and friends.
