Puerto Rican rapper and singer-songwriter María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona, known as Young Miko, was born in Añasco, Puerto Rico. She initiated her music career in 2018 by rapping over instrumentals sourced from YouTube and distributing her songs on SoundCloud under the name Young Miko. To finance her musical pursuits, she also operated as a tattoo artist. In 2022, she launched her first EP titled "Trap Kitty," which includes Latin trap tracks shaped by influences such as her queerness, anime culture, urban lifestyle, and The Powerpuff Girls. In July 2023, her reggaeton track "Classy 101" entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time.
