Canadian-American actress Yvonne De Carlo (originally named Margaret Yvonne Middleton; September 1, 1922 – January 8, 2007) was also a singer and dancer with a career that extended over sixty years in film, television, and musical theater.

Her notable breakthrough came with the film Salome, Where She Danced (1945), which was produced by Walter Wanger, who referred to her as "the most beautiful girl in the world." She experienced further success with films like Criss Cross (1949) and The Captain's Paradise (1953). Her cinematic career peaked when she was cast by director Cecil B.
