Dutch television presenter and producer Bridget Maasland was born in The Hague on November 9, 1974.

She initially worked as a model, participating in fashion shows for children's clothing. Her entry into the television industry began with a commercial promoting fruit as a healthier option compared to candy.

Subsequently, Maasland advanced her modeling career in Barcelona before returning to the Netherlands in 1993 to take on roles as a show dancer and assistant on the Veronica program Man O Woman.

Her tenure at TMF saw her rise to fame as a VJ and host. After five years, she departed from the music channel as one of its final first-wave presenters to join Dutch National TV station BNN, which primarily targets younger viewers; her appealing image aligned well with this demographic. She hosted various programs such as Lijst 0 (political discussions with an engaging twist alongside Katja Schuurman), Een Beetje Bridget, BNN At Work, Neuken doe ik veel! To reach a broader audience, she conducted interviews with teams during both seasons of the Dutch adaptation of Robot Wars (similar to roles filled by Philippa Forrester and occasionally Julia Reed or Jayne Middlemiss in the original UK version). In the inaugural season, one team named Blue communicated solely through notes or mouthpieces after dyeing their skin blue before competing.

After several years at BNN, she transitioned in 2005 to Talpa, established by John de Mol. This move allowed her greater creative control over television productions. Nonetheless, her initial assignment involved co-hosting Big Brother 5 with Ruud de Wild; she later took sole hosting duties for Big Brother 6.

In May 2006, Maasland featured in the Dutch edition of Playboy magazine while donating proceeds to charity benefiting puppies.

Other projects include Je leven in de steigers (inspired by Extreme Home Makeover), news program NSE, Woef! (her own series about dog training), talk show Late Night met Maasland & Geel and Hoe word ik een Gooische Vrouw? (a satirical guide on ladylike behavior).

At the end of 2007, Maasland joined RTL Nederland after Talpa ceased operations officially. On August 27th that year marked the premiere of "Hoe Word Ik Een New Yorkse Vrouw?", based on "Hoe Word Ik Een Gooische Vrouw?". Additionally, she stepped into Renate Verbaan’s role for Beauty & de Nerd's second season.[1] Anticipating motherhood in 2008 alongside partner Pepijn Padberg led her to produce "Hoe word ik mama in Amsterdam-Zuid?.[2]". Since 2007 she has been presenting RTL Boulevard regularly when Albert Verlinde is unavailable along with hosting Lekker Slim!.

On December 17th ,2009 it was reported that Maasland ended her relationship with Pepijn Padberg.[3] Between September 2010 and February 2011 [4], she dated Johnny de Mol. Later announced relationships included company lawyer Pieter van Schaik who is ten years younger than herself but concluded publicly on April16th ,2012 during an appearance on RTL Boulevard TV.

From January3rd ,2011 onwards ,Bridget acted as Carla—the character known for being sassy—in BNN’s Walhalla series .Additionally,she became one among presenters hosting Wie is de Reisleider? broadcasted starting January at RTL5 .

On May21st ,2011,she received recognition through winning an Amsterdam Fashion Award presented during Amsterdam Fashion Gala.
