German television presenter Carmen Nebel, born on July 24, 1956, in Grimma, East Germany,

studied German language, English literature, and education at Humboldt University of Berlin. Following her graduation, she began her career in GDR television with Deutscher Fernsehfunk (DFF) during the 1980s. In 1989, she launched her own program titled Sprungbrett. After the reunification of Germany and the Berlin Wall's collapse, she collaborated with various German networks including ARD, NDR, and MDR. From June 1994 until 2003, she hosted the Schlager series Feste der Volksmusik on ARD. Since January 2004, she has been leading Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel and Die schönsten Weihnachts-Hits on ZDF. Nebel resides in Berlin and is a parent to one child.
