English television presenter Cat Deeley, born Catherine Elizabeth Deeley on 23 October 1976, works in both the UK and the United States as an actress, singer, and model. She served as the host for the children's show SMTV Live and its related chart program CD:UK from 1998 until 2002. In 2001, she received a BAFTA award for her work in children's television. Additionally, she hosted Fame Academy on BBC and was responsible for presenting the Brit Awards in 2004. From 2003 to 2006, Cat took over from Matthew Kelly as the host of Stars In Their Eyes. Since 2006, she has led So You Think You Can Dance in America and has been nominated four times for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host in a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.

Deeley has served as a patron of Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2003. In December of 2009, she became an ambassador for UNICEF UK. She is married to comedian and television figure Patrick Kielty from Northern Ireland.
