Australian singer-songwriter and producer April M. Coates, born on September 6, 1970, in Melbourne, is recognized for her work in dance music and pop under the name Cheyne Coates. She formed the musical duo Madison Avenue with Andrew Van Dorsselaer, also known as Andy Van. Their track "Don't Call Me Baby" achieved a number two position on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Singles Chart in 1999 and topped both the UK Singles Chart and Billboard's dance charts in 2000. Following Madison Avenue's split in 2003, Cheyne released an album titled Something Wicked This Way Comes along with its lead single "I've Got Your Number," which reached No. 26 in 2004.
