English reality television figure Jade Cerisa Lorraine Goody (5 June 1981 – 22 March 2009) gained attention through her participation in the third season of Big Brother on Channel 4 in 2002, which led to her launching personal TV projects and various product lines after leaving the show.

In January 2007, Goody participated as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother 5. During this time, she faced allegations of racially harassing actress Shilpa Shetty. Following her exit from the program, she acknowledged her inappropriate behavior and issued several public apologies. By late 2007 and early 2008, surveys revealed that Goody was facing significant public disfavor.

In August 2008, she took part in the Indian adaptation of Big Brother known as Bigg Boss but departed prematurely upon learning about her cervical cancer diagnosis. By February 2009, the cancer had spread significantly, leading to a terminal prognosis. On February 22, 2009, Goody wed fellow Celebrity Big Brother participant Jack Tweed and passed away just one month later on March 22, at age 27. Sky Living aired five tribute programs dedicated to Goody from 2009 to 2012 that chronicled her life journey from childhood through her rise in popularity and final days. The concluding episode of Big Brother on Channel 4 included a fifteen-minute homage to Goody as an exemplary contestant. In July 2011, she featured on the cover of the last edition of News of the World.
