American country pop artist Kelsea Nicole Ballerini (born September 12, 1993) is a singer and songwriter. Her debut album, The First Time, was launched in 2015, followed by her second album Unapologetically on November 3, 2017. At the 2017 Grammy Awards, she earned a nomination for Best New Artist. Ballerini's two albums have produced seven songs that charted on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts. She achieved four No. 1 hits on the latter chart, beginning with her first single "Love Me Like You Mean It," which marked her as the first female artist to have a debut single reach the top of this chart since Carrie Underwood in 2006. This was succeeded by "Dibs" and "Peter Pan," both of which also allowed her to become the first female country musician to place her initial three singles at No. 1 since Wynonna Judd.
