Greek fashion model Mara Darmousli, known in Greek as Μάρα Δαρμουσλή, was born on August 15 in Ptolemaida, Greece.

She has participated in numerous global fashion shows and publications, featuring her image on the covers of magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire, and Bazaar. In 1998, she was noticed by prominent modeling agent and producer Mr. Nikos Voglis during the Greek Elite Model Look contest. She entered this competition and secured first place at the national finals before progressing to the Nice International final in September held along the French Riviera, where she achieved a third-place finish overall in the Pantene event. Mr. Voglis of Prestige agency based in Athens guided her early career and connected her with leading international agencies where she found substantial success. In 2005, Darmousli ventured into acting with a role in the Greek film I Kardia Tou Ktinous (The Heart of the Beast), adapted from Petros Tatsopoulos' novel alongside "Luton." Her television credits feature guest roles on series like "Mehri tris einai Desmos" (ALTER), "To Kokkino Domatio" (MEGA), and more recently three episodes each of "Agria Paidia" (MEGA) and "3os Nomos" (MEGA). She pursued studies in acting at Theatre Embros, physical theater at So7, as well as political sciences and history at Panteio University while continuing her modeling work. She enjoys watching films and participating in long-distance running activities. Mara was also involved with "ANASA," Greece's inaugural non-profit organization focused on nutritional disorders.

She is a mother to a son named Angel born on March 31, 2006.

In March 2007, she received recognition as "Model of the Year" within Greece. During the 2008/09 season, she co-hosted the TV program "Εχουμε και λεμε" (Let's talk) for ET1 alongside Rika Vagianni, Renia Louizidou, Manina Zoumpoulaki, and Marion Michelidaki.
