American professional wrestler Melina Perez (born March 9, 1979) is also known as a valet, model, and actress. She gained prominence for her tenure with World Wrestling Entertainment under the ring identity Melina.

Perez initiated her journey in the entertainment industry by participating in beauty pageants and achieving success in various modeling contests.

In 2000, she commenced her training to become a professional wrestler at Jesse Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks and made her first appearance in 2002. Later that year, she auditioned for WWE's reality competition Tough Enough III but was eliminated during the initial stage; this experience motivated her to further pursue wrestling after receiving encouragement from Al Snow. In March 2004, Perez entered into an agreement with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and was placed in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), which served as WWE’s developmental territory. There, she managed Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury—collectively known as MNM—to three championship reigns as WWE Tag Team Champions while also guiding Nitro to two Intercontinental Championship victories. Perez has held the title of WWE Women's Champion three times and has been crowned WWE Divas Champion twice. Following her second win of the Divas Championship, she became the inaugural female competitor within WWE history to hold both Women’s and Divas titles multiple times. Renowned for her agility displayed during entrances and inside the ring, Bret Hart referred to Perez as "one of the best wrestlers in the world," while WWE acknowledged that she possessed "perhaps the most impressive arsenal of offensive maneuvers in WWE history."
