Italian politician and entrepreneur Michela Vittoria Brambilla (born October 26, 1967) began her political career when she was appointed undersecretary for Tourism in the Berlusconi IV Cabinet on May 12, 2008. She later took on the role of Minister of Culture and Tourism on May 8, 2009, serving until 2011. On August 21, 2007, she established The People of Freedom party with apparent support from Berlusconi, aiming to unify right-wing allies.

Coming from a lineage of steel producers spanning four generations, Brambilla earned a philosophy degree from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. In the year 2006, she faced defeat in her bid for a seat in the Chamber of Deputies representing Forza Italia. The following year marked her self-appointment as president of Circles of Freedom—a political entity she founded that encompasses over 6,000 clubs across Italy.

Prior to her political engagement, Brambilla worked as a television journalist with Mediaset group owned by Berlusconi. She also serves as general executive manager at Trafilerie Brambilla spa and holds the presidency at two companies alongside her father Vittorio: Sal Group spa and Sotra Coast International.

Brambilla gained significant national visibility in 2003 upon being named president of Confcommercio's under-40 entrepreneurs council. On November 20, 2006, she initiated the Freedom Circles organization. Her close collaboration with Silvio Berlusconi has led some analysts (including Panorama magazine) to speculate about her potential future leadership within Forza Italia and among Italian center-right factions; however, Brambilla has publicly refuted these speculations.

In June 2007, through the initiative launched by Freedom Circles organization, Brambilla introduced Freedom TV—a satellite channel featuring discussions with experts and everyday individuals that often relate to her advocacy against tax evasion.
