German professional tennis player Sabine Katharina Lisicki (pronounced [zaЛ€bЙЄnЙ™ lЙЄЛ€zЙЄki]; born 22 September 1989) is currently ranked 110 by the WTA. She began her professional career in 2006, achieving a significant milestone in 2009 when she reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon and secured her inaugural WTA title at the Family Circle Cup against Caroline Wozniacki. In March 2010, an ankle injury sustained during the Indian Wells Masters sidelined her for five months, causing her to drop out of the top 200.

Lisicki made a strong comeback in 2011, winning the Aegon Classic before entering Wimbledon as a wildcard and advancing to the semifinals, where she was defeated by Maria Sharapova. This accomplishment made her only the second woman in Wimbledon history to reach that stage as a wildcard entrant. Two months later, she won her third WTA event at the Texas Open. In 2012, Lisicki attained her highest singles ranking of world No. 12 and again advanced to Wimbledon’s quarterfinals. However, another ankle injury hindered her performance on tour that year. She reached the final of Wimbledon in 2013 but lost to Marion Bartoli and returned to another quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon in 2014 while also claiming victory at the Hong Kong Tennis Open—her first title after three years.

In doubles competition, Lisicki claimed titles including the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix with Samantha Stosur in 2011 and alongside Mona Barthel in 2013; she also won with coach Martina Hingis at the Sony Open in 2014. Additionally, she competed with Stosur reaching the doubles final at Wimbledon in 2011 and finished fourth in mixed doubles with Christopher Kas during the London Olympics held in 2012.

Lisicki holds a world record for delivering one of female tennis's fastest serves recorded at a speed of 131 mph (210.8 km/h) during a first-round match against Ana Ivanovic at Bank of the West Classic back in 2014. Previously holding another record for most aces achieved within a singles match—27 aces hit against Belinda Bencic during their second-round clash at Aegon Classic—she saw this surpassed by KristГЅna PlГЕЎkovГЎ during Australian Open held two years later.
