English singer-songwriter, dancer, model, and actress Sarah Nicole Harding (originally named Sarah Nicole Hardman; born 17 November 1981) gained public attention in late 2002 after participating in the reality series Popstars: The Rivals aired on ITV. Following her successful audition, it was revealed that Harding secured a position in the girl group Girls Aloud. The ensemble experienced considerable success with twenty consecutive top ten hits (including four at number one) in the UK. They released six studio albums, all achieving platinum certification from the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), with two of those reaching number one in the UK charts and receiving five nominations for BRIT Awards. In 2009, Girls Aloud received recognition for "Best Single" for their track "The Promise".

During a hiatus from the group, Harding shifted her focus to acting and appeared in projects such as Bad Day, the BBC film Freefall, Run for Your Wife, and St. Trinian's 2: The Legend of Fritton's Gold. She also provided three solo tracks for the soundtrack of St. Trinian's 2. Additionally, she has worked as a model for Ultimo lingerie. In 2011, Harding sought treatment at a rehabilitation center addressing depression along with issues related to alcohol and prescription medications. Toward the end of 2012, she rejoined Girls Aloud to mark their tenth anniversary together but announced their breakup early in 2013.
