American singer, songwriter, model, and actress Solange Piaget Knowles (born June 24, 1986) hails from Houston, Texas. She is the daughter of Mathew and Tina Knowles, who both transitioned from their professional careers to support her older sister Beyoncé’s music pursuits. Showing an inclination for music early in life, Knowles had various temporary roles within Destiny's Child before securing a contract with her father’s Music World Entertainment label.
