American actress Susanne Benton, born on February 3, 1948, is recognized for her performances as General Dreedle's WAC in Catch-22 (1970) and Quilla June Holmes in A Boy and His Dog (1975). In her early acting career, she declined to undress for roles despite pressure from executives at Universal Studios. She appeared nude in Playboy magazine's May 1970 edition. In 1972, she acted in The Strangers in 7A directed by Andy Griffith, using her birth name, Susanne Hildur. This alias was also utilized during her appearance on Barnaby Jones the following year.

At six years old, she became determined to achieve stardom and held a belief that she would not live past the age of 28. She wed James A Benton in 1966.
