Italian professional tennis player Camila Giorgi (Spanish pronunciation: [kaЛ€miЛђla Л€dК’ordК’i]; born 30 December 1991) competes right-handed with a two-handed backhand. She was born in Macerata, Italy, to Argentine parents and began her tennis journey at five years old at a nearby club. After participating in junior competitions, she made her debut on the senior international stage in 2006 within the International Tennis Federation circuit. Following her first title win on the ITF tour in 2009, Giorgi entered the main draw of the WTA tour for the first time during the 2011 Wimbledon Championships.

Giorgi advanced to the fourth round of the Wimbledon Championships in 2012 during her second tournament appearance. This performance allowed her to enter the Top-100 of WTA rankings shortly after.
