American actress Morgan Fairchild, born Patsy Ann McClenny on February 3, 1950, gained visibility in the late 1970s and early 1980s through various television series where she often portrayed glamorous characters.

Fairchild started her professional work in the CBS daytime soap opera Search for Tomorrow as Jennifer Pace from 1973 to 1977. In 1978, she was featured on the primetime soap opera Dallas as Jenna Wade, becoming the first actress to take on this role. She later took a prominent position in NBC's Flamingo Road in 1980, earning a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama. In 1984, she appeared alongside others in ABC's brief primetime soap Paper Dolls and then played attorney Jordan Roberts in Falcon Crest from 1985 to 1986. Fairchild has also worked extensively in theater and had guest appearances in comedic series such as Murphy Brown (for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series), Roseanne, Cybill, and Friends. Additionally, she serves on the board of SAG-AFTRA.
