Spanish-Mexican singer-songwriter Belinda Peregrín Schüll, known simply as Belinda (born 15 August 1989), began her professional journey in the entertainment industry at age ten when she was cast in the lead role of the children's telenovela ¡Amigos X Siempre! in 2000. She subsequently featured in various other youth programs, including Aventuras en el Tiempo in 2001 and Cómplices al Rescate.

In 2003, her self-titled debut album Belinda achieved commercial success across Latin America, with global sales exceeding 2.5 million copies. The album included hit tracks such as her first single "Lo Siento," along with "Ángel," "Boba Niña Nice," and "Vivir," which served as the theme song for Corazones al Límite. Her return to Mexican television occurred with Camaleones (2009) followed by Mujeres asesinas 3 (2010), inspiring her subsequent album Carpe Diem, which produced the successful single "Egoísta." Her fourth studio effort Catarsis debuted atop the Mexican charts and featured hit songs like "En El Amor Hay Que Perdonar" and "En La Obscuridad." Currently, Belinda is involved in filming Baywatch alongside Zac Efron and Dwayne Johnson.

Belinda's record sales surpass 2 million albums within the US alone, totaling over 16 million globally; this positions her as one of Mexico's top-selling female artists. Media outlets such as Billboard and Daily Mail have referred to her as the “Princess of Latin Pop.”
