American singer-songwriter Toni Michelle Braxton (born October 7, 1967) is also a pianist, record producer, actress, television personality, and philanthropist. She gained prominence in the early 1990s and quickly became an influential figure in R&B music, recognized as one of the top-selling female artists of that decade and earning titles like "Queen of R&B" for her vocal talent.

Her debut self-titled studio album was launched in 1993. It achieved sales exceeding 10 million copies globally and featured popular tracks such as "Another Sad Love Song" and "Breathe Again," which contributed to her winning three Grammy Awards including Best New Artist. Her second album, Secrets, released in 1996, further solidified her success with over 15 million copies sold worldwide. This album produced two No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "You're Makin' Me High" and "Un-Break My Heart," with the latter becoming a hallmark song for Braxton and ranking as one of the best-selling singles by a female artist ever. She received two Grammy Awards for this work.

In the year 2000, she released her third album titled The Heat, which sold more than four million copies and included the successful single "He Wasn't Man Enough," earning her another Grammy Award. Following this release were three additional albums: More Than a Woman (2002), Libra (2005), and Pulse (2010), during which she faced personal challenges as well as conflicts with her record label. In collaboration with Babyface in 2014, Braxton issued a duet album called Love, Marriage & Divorce that won them a Grammy Award in early 2015.

Over her career span, Braxton has sold upwards of 67 million records globally including around 41 million albums. Her accolades include seven Grammy Awards alongside nine Billboard Music Awards and seven American Music Awards among other distinctions. Beyond music achievements, she has ventured into television production serving as an executive producer on several projects including participating in Season 7 of Dancing with the Stars and starring since its inception in Braxton Family Values on WE tv where she also serves as Executive Producer. Additionally, she is an Executive Producer for Tamar & Vince show featuring her sister Tamar on WE tv. On September 18th, 2011, Braxton was honored by being inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
