Canadian model Danielle House, born in 1976 in Daniel's Harbour, won the title of Miss Newfoundland in 1995 and later Miss Canada International in 1996. Her title as Miss Canada International was revoked following a conviction for assaulting her ex-boyfriend's partner at a bar.

She made an appearance as the guest Chicken Cannon shooter on the November 22, 1996 episode of Air Farce. Subsequently, she gained wider visibility through a feature in Playboy magazine's December 1997 edition, which incorrectly referred to her as "Miss Canada," despite the last official "Miss Canada" being crowned in 1992. In 2000, she appeared alongside others in the film Solid Cover 2.

House pursued nursing studies at Memorial University located in Newfoundland.
