Australian singer, songwriter, actress, and fashion designer Dannii Jane Minogue (born 20 October 1971) gained attention in the early 1980s through her participation in the Australian television talent show Young Talent Time alongside fellow Australian Tina Arena and her role in the soap opera Home and Away. She transitioned into a pop music career during the early 1990s. Minogue found initial success with tracks like "Love and Kisses," "This is It," "Jump to the Beat," and "Baby Love." On November 9th, 2011, Southampton Solent University awarded her an honorary doctorate degree for Media and Arts acknowledging three decades of diverse work within entertainment and media sectors. In 2013, Minogue took on judging responsibilities for Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model's ninth series as well as The X Factor Australia where she mentored Dami Im to victory.
