English actress and reality TV star Danniella Westbrook (born 5 November 1973) is recognized for her role as Samantha Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, appearing from 1990 to 1993, again from 1995 to 1996, then in 1999 to 2000, later from 2009 to 2010, and most recently in 2016. Outside of EastEnders, she has hosted several programs and participated as a contestant on ITV's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2003. She also took part in the Dancing on Ice competition alongside US pairs skater Matthew Gonzalez in the year 2010, finishing fourth overall. In addition, she featured as Trudy Ryan in Hollyoaks during the year of 2013. In early 2016, Westbrook participated in the seventeenth season of Celebrity Big Brother where she reached the final stages and placed fifth. On February 27th, it was announced that she would make a brief return to EastEnders alongside her onscreen brother Grant for scenes related to their character mother Peggy Mitchell’s (Barbara Windsor) passing.
