Russian professional tennis player Daria Sergeyevna Kasatkina (Russian: Дарья Сергеевна Касаткина; born May 7, 1997) achieved her first appearance in the top 10 of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings near the conclusion of the 2018 season. Kasatkina was born to athletic parents who competed at a national level in athletics and ice hockey. She took up tennis at six years old due to encouragement from her older brother.
