American actress, director, and singer Debby Ryan (born May 13, 1993) is recognized for her role as Jessie Prescott in the Disney Channel Original Series Jessie and as Bailey Pickett in The Suite Life on Deck.

Ryan began her acting career in professional theater at seven years old; she made an appearance in the straight-to-DVD film Barney: Let's Go to the Firehouse in 2007 and was subsequently discovered through a nationwide casting call by Disney. Additionally, she acted in the 2008 movie The Longshots portraying Edith. In 2009, she guest appeared as Bailey Pickett alongside her fellow cast members from The Suite Life on Deck during an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place titled "Wizards on Deck with Hannah Montana." In 2010, Ryan took a leading role in the film 16 Wishes, which became the highest-rated cable program upon its premiere day on Disney Channel. This film introduced Ryan to a broader audience; it achieved substantial viewership among adults aged 18–34. Shortly thereafter, she featured in the independent film What If..., which debuted on August 20, 2010.

In addition to these roles, Ryan starred in Radio Rebel—a Disney Channel Original Movie released in 2012—where she plays Tara Adams, a reserved teenager who adopts the alter ego Radio Rebel. She also directed an episode of Jessie that aired on May 15, 2015. In 2013, Ryan established the band The Never Ending and starting July of that year will join them as they open for Fifth Harmony's Reflection Tour.
