Australian singer-songwriter and actress Delta Lea Goodrem (born 9 November 1984) was raised in Sydney, New South Wales. She participated in dance, acting, singing, and piano lessons from an early age. Goodrem started her professional work as a young actress, appearing in various television series and gained visibility in 2002 through the Australian soap opera Neighbours where she portrayed Nina Tucker.

Transitioning into music, Goodrem joined Sony Music at the age of 15 and launched her first album, Innocent Eyes (2003), which dominated the ARIA Albums Chart for an unprecedented duration of 25 consecutive weeks and secured the number two position on the UK Albums Chart. The album became one of Australia's best-selling records with over four million copies sold globally; all five singles—"Born to Try", "Lost Without You", "Innocent Eyes", "Not Me, Not I", and "Predictable"—achieved number-one status on the ARIA Singles Chart while three of them made it into the top ten of the UK Singles Chart. This accomplishment positioned Goodrem as the first artist to have five chart-topping singles from a debut album. Innocent Eyes is noted as Australia’s highest-selling album of the 2000s decade and holds record for most number-one singles from a debut release.

Her follow-up studio project, Mistaken Identity (2004), was produced during her battle with cancer which influenced its themes. This album also reached number one on charts and generated two additional chart-topping singles including "Out of the Blue". In 2007, Goodrem released Delta, marking her third number-one album that included another successful single titled "In This Life". Her fourth studio effort Child of the Universe (2012) featured hit single "Sitting on Top of the World". In 2016, her fifth record Wings of the Wild ascended to become her fourth number-one title on ARIA's Albums Chart alongside yet another leading single called “Wings”.

Goodrem boasts nine chart-topping singles along with 17 hits within Australia’s ARIA Singles Chart. She has achieved global sales exceeding eight million albums and received accolades such as three World Music Awards, ten ARIA Music Awards, an MTV Video Music Award among others. Between 2012-2013 she acted as a coach on The Voice Australia while winning The Voice Kids Australia in 2014 before returning to The Voice Australia in 2015.
