Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini (born October 21, 1995), professionally recognized as Doja Cat, is an American rapper and singer. Raised in Los Angeles, she initiated her music career by sharing tracks on SoundCloud during her teenage years. At the age of 17, Doja Cat entered into a joint recording agreement with RCA Records and Kemosabe Records, leading to the release of her first extended play titled Purrr! in 2014. She gained broader visibility when the music video for her track "Mooo!" went viral in 2018. Following this success, she became known for producing songs and videos that gained traction on social media platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. Her inaugural studio album, Amala, was released in 2018, followed by another project in 2019 featuring hits like "Tia Tamera" and "Juicy." The second studio album titled Hot Pink (2019) entered the top ten of the Billboard 200 charts due to the hit single "Say So," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 after a remix collaboration with Nicki Minaj.
